obovate, finely pointed, lustrous dark green; on main shoots

the facial pair; aromatic odor when crushed.

Young trees have smooth, thin grayish green or scaly.
On old bark (above), yellowish brown to cinnamon red,
Fibrous, deeply and irregularly furrowed.
