Notes: A handsome dense tree with a regular rounded shape, and lightly branched and spreading downward. An excellent small tree well suited to Athens and other Piedmont locations. One of the few trees with truly yellow flowers that persist well into the summer, the Golden Raintree is especially suited as a small lawn or patio tree, and is finding good use as a street tree. The species is adaptable to a wide variety of growing sites.

Bark: Light gray-brown and on older bark, ridged and furrowed.
